ON BEHALF of First Motors, the exclusive distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Bahrain, I would like to congratulate the World Calisthenics Organisation for successfully hosting the Calisthenics World Cup 2016 at ART Rotana Amwaj Islands on December 2 and 3.
I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Malaysian team, who were the winners of this year’s competition and wish them continued success for the future. It is an honour to have sponsored this World Cup, 2016 in Bahrain, where 50 contestants from all over the world gathered to compete against each other.
This World Cup is a competition that promotes a spirit of sportsmanship within the young athletes of Bahrain and having this take place on an international level motivates and encourages them to work on becoming fit.
We are proud to have been able to support this great sporting event and achieve a positive brand image for both the tournament as well
as for Hyundai vehicles in the Kingdom. Ahsan Chishty, the General Manager of First Motors.
I would like to say a massive thank you to all, family and friends included, who have supported my Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championship run and donated to save the elephants in Kenya.
Currently, we have raised more than £800 which is about BD400. I would also like to encourage any businesses who might want to sponsor the orphaned elephants of The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to please get in touch with me.
My page on the Just Giving site will be active until July 2017 and we are hoping to raise awareness within the school and local community of the plight of the endangered elephants and rhinos. Last week the news featured a press release about the latest deteriorating numbers of giraffes on our planet.
Slowly we are endangering and risking extinction of many of our beautiful creatures. Education and awareness of our children is of the upmost importance if we want them to see these animals free, in the wild, where they belong, in 2025. Thanks, Kirsty McKay.
