Last week, a friend of The Whisperer’s
daughter went to see a concert performed by the rock band The 1975 at the O2 in
London.
The tickets were bought by The Whisperer’s friend as a Christmas
present, but when her daughter got there, the voucher that she had been given
by the ticket agency wasn’t redeemable for tickets.
After traipsing round the venue for a
solution, the last-ditch attempt was the reception desk. Standing there, it
became clear that there was nothing that could be done.
At the very last
moment, a nice man named Nick from the Standard Chartered bank offered free
passes to a VIP box, allowing the performance to be viewed in style.
The Christmas spirit is strong. Saint Nick
to the rescue!
