Depending on which club you have selected, the ball position will change.
The reason why we change the ball position is to slightly change the impact position and launch conditions depending on the club we are using. For a right handed golfer, the ball position of the Driver will be to the inside of the left heel.
Then moving down the set a 3 wood will be positioned half-an-inch to the right of the driver position, the 5 wood will be played half-an-inch closer to the centre than the 3 wood and so on. The central position is ideal for the shorter clubs in your bag, sand wedge, pitching wedge and irons.
This tip applies for a flat lie and a full swing in calm and dry conditions. An incorrect ball position can lead to miss hits and a lack of distance.
