The Royal Golf Club, in association with Moments & Memories, is hosting a South African Family Festival at the club on April 21 in celebration of its food and culture while marking the country’s National Freedom Day. The event is open to all and will feature a variety of activities and live entertainment.

For children there will be pony rides, a jumping castle, face painting, tug of war, mini Zumba classes, snag golf and much more. For adults, there will be a potjiekos cooking contest which will see up to 15 teams competing to see who makes the best in Bahrain.

Many favourite South African dishes and beverages will be available to purchase on the day including boerewors rolls, vetkoek and mince, koeksisters and milk tart. There will be a craft market offering a range of items from jewellery to golf merchandise as well as a number of raffle draws throughout the day boasting prizes.
