Promising young golfer Yaseen Le Falher was crowned the Royal Golf Club’s 2017 Black Tee Challenge winner after achieving a gross score of 74 on count back.
Another young player, Ali Al Kowari won the nett section of the men’s competition with a score of 69 nett.
Ladies Captain Stacey Thomas won the women’s gross section with a score of 99 while Dana Whitely came first in the nett category with a score of 90 nett.
The annual event, held on the club’s Montgomerie championship course, is a real test of golf with competitors playing from the black tees, making the course a challenging 7,243 yards long. With many of the holes playing into the breeze, it was a difficult task for even the very best players.
