Despite near gale force winds Sam Hobday, above, narrowly managed to win the fourth round of the Audi quattro Cup Series at the Royal Golf Club on count back with 32 stableford points. Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed had to settle for the runners-up spot with the same score.

Jim Lanceley tops the series order of merit with 128 points while Ben Elsworth now holds second place with 115 points.

A field of more than 50 players turned out in the prestigious series, which will be played out over a total of six rounds at the Royal Golf Club. The Bahrain tournament winner will have an opportunity to go forward and compete in the world finals in Mexico this December.
