Leading hands

At impact, we ideally need the hands to be ahead of the ball to add to the compression and a better strike.

This is very similar to the position a hockey player is in when they are dragging the ball ready to shoot.

In order to get used to the correct position, practice the movement of the hands ahead dragging the ball as your weight is on the forward foot. Adjust to then complete the follow-through of your golf swing.

After practicing, try to recreate that position as you impact the ball. Practicing this drill in front of a mirror is a great way to understand and to visualise if you have it correct.
