Coco-Cola Middle East has added the Schweppes +C soft drink to its portfolio in the kingdom.
The effervescent, lemon-flavoured beverage, with added Vitamin C, is now available priced 200 fils from supermarkets and hypermarkets across the island and taste-testing is currently being staged in some stores.
Its creators say each 330mL can of +C boasts around 83 mg of Vitamin C and Mahammed Akeel, managing director of The Coco-Cola Bottling Company in Bahrain, said the new product had been introduced into the market to reflect ‘the trends and preferences’ of consumers.
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is abundant in vegetables and fruits. A water-soluble vitamin and powerful antioxidant, it helps the body form and maintain connective tissue, including bones, blood vessels and skin.
