The grip is overlooked by so many amateur golfers and is a very important part of the golf swing. The correct grip helps create the ideal club face at impact which will help create the ideal ball flight for the golfer. The Vs in both hands should be pointing towards the right shoulder/ear. This will help the golfer to create a square clubface at impact. In my years of coaching I have seen many golfers with what’s called a strong grip. This is when the V on the right hand is pointing past the right shoulder and very much underneath, creating a closed clubface at impact. Make sure you have all your basics and set up correct, especially for the beginner golfer.
