A lot of the amateur golfers we see try to muscle the ball using only the arms with the idea that the ball will travel further the harder you swing. In fact, this is completely false. The more you use the arms the more power you actually lose in the swing.

In order to get a few extra yards it’s very important to let the lower body work harder and rotate a little quicker.

More efficient lower body rotation on the downswing will allow the body to turn through the ball quicker and add a couple of miles to the swing speed which ultimately adds to your distance.

Try using the power move with the lower body and see the difference it makes in your distances.
