GLORIOUS golfers Phillip Waine, Nikki Hunter, Rob Lane and Ben Stimson made an early 4am start to take on a unique 100 Hole Challenge, highlighted recently in GolfWeekly – to complete 100 holes of golf in one day.
And, 15 hours and five-and-a-half rounds of golf later they achieved the momentous task, closely followed by relay team Jan Watson, Ann Hudson, Alexandra Helluin and Johanna Hassett.
The scores at hole 54 were Team 100 at 84 and the relay team at 86 in an event played in honour of breast cancer awareness and in loving memory of former ladies club captain and Rob’s beloved wife, Debbie.
The ‘100 Team’ raised more than BD1,100 for Think Pink Bahrain. The golf shop will continue to accept donations to the good cause until the end of the month.
