Euro Motors hosted a classic car show at its Sitra showroom as part of its National Day celebrations.

Classic Jaguar and Land Rovers owned by various private collectors from around the kingdom took centre stage during last week’s event.

Masterpieces on display included a Series 1 Land Rover Defender, a classic Jaguar XJ and a First Generation Range Rover.

The true Jaguar classic, a legendary Jaguar E-TYPE, was also admired by the invited guests. Originally unveiled to the public back in 1961, the model was an instant hit with many in the car industry and its popularity attracted numerous celebrities to showrooms too. The distinguished list of owners of the renowned grand tourer included late greats such as Hollywood actor Steve McQueen, singer Frank Sinatra and footballer George Best.

Stephen Lay, GM of Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover, said: “The classic car show was an incredible success. We are glad to have hosted all our esteemed guests at our showroom and have them join us in celebration of the National Day of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

“In Bahrain, there are a number of private collectors and Jaguar Land Rover loyalists who own a wide range of classic Jaguars and Land Rovers. By hosting such an event we were able to honour the many patrons who have been part of the Jaguar Land Rover family and bring them all together under one roof.”

Guests were also treated to displays of traditional arts and crafts and cuisine.
