Creativity is the perfect marriage between old and new, possible and impossible and the real and unreal. According to me, it is the only quality that can really propel us forward and that too in a different and imaginative way.

I feel it is creativity that actually gives us the independence of character. All the major ‘creations’ are boiled over people thinking differently! The invention of the robot, artificial intelligence, new cooking recipes … the list is endless.

It is very important that it is creativity that strengthens our past, stabilises our present and shapes our future!

Unfortunately, most people are afraid of being creative. Maybe it is how closely we all are linked by increasing globalisation that we are afraid to be so together but so different. But I’d say that it is only creativity that can define us and it is these ideas that truly belong to us.

Also, it doesn’t do to ‘know’ what to think. Thinking along a predicated line is what restricts our approach. I believe we should all strive to take that creativity onto our platter of display and really use it to reconsider the global problems and issues, be those socially linked, culturally linked or economically linked.

After all, it was creativity and imagination that made Archimedes jump out of his bathtub or Picasso pick up his palette!
