The last round of the 2017/18 BMR 600 Championship will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit this weekend.
Both the Superstock Champion and Hornet Cup champion have already been decided, won dominantly by Ahmed Al Muyini and Pawel Rosciszewski (Hornet) repectively, but there is plenty to play for in the runners up positions.
In the Superstocks, Nasser Al Khadra is in second place, closely followed by Adel Najjar and Mo Al Zaidan, whilst Abdulsalam, Alateeqi and Abdulhussain are buzzing around each other in the Hornet class.
The remaining riders will, as always, be focusing on the remaining battles around them and the honour of beating their closest rivals.
The event will be part of the final National Race Day of the season, with the BIC also hosting the final rounds of the Bahrain Superbike (BSBK), Bahrain Supersport (BSSP) 125cc and the 2,000cc Challenge championships.
The BSBK and BSSP championships are set up in an ‘arrive and ride’ racing format as participants race in identical bikes for the whole season which allows them to focus on improving their racing skills.
Abdulrahman Almoayed, co-founder of Motogulf, the company which owns the races, said: “This has by far been one of the most exciting seasons with Round 4 and 5 of BSBK being held for the first time at Dubai Autodrome.
“This season has been exciting and tough. We are glad to see how well BSBK and BSSP have been received by bikers. We can’t wait to see who lifts the winner’s trophy this season!”
