I had been hoping to see the solution to the crossword in the April 18-24 edition of GulfWeekly. Instead, we have a repeat of the previous week’s solution. Could you please furnish me with the answers that should have been printed?

Charles Price

Editor’s note: Apologies Charles (and all the other disappointed readers who have been in touch). We suffered a design gremlin on last week’s Cerebrally Crust & Crema puzzle page. Please find the missing solution left. Normal service continues on Page 17.

I am writing to you on behalf of The French School of Bahrain. The secondary school students are staging their annual musical La Belle Dame de Paris on Thursday, May 10 at the Cultural Hall at 6.30pm.

The musical has been written and directed by their teacher Sadaf Karim. The students have worked very hard and will be performing to raise money for charity. In previous years, they have donated to Al Sanabel Charity and the Smile Association.

The students also take pride in performing parts in the English language which in some cases, is their second or even third language. The musical features super hit songs in both languages. This year, the show is called ‘Franglais’ and readers who attend will be in for a treat.

Sadaf Karim.

Congratulations to the organisers of The Art for Autism Awareness initiative, it was an absolute joy to see so many people coming together. I have a cousin with autism at hoke in Canada and I appreciate the struggles he and the family go through each day.

It was also my first visit to the Bahrain Financial Harbour and the Harbour Gate looks like a splendid space for more community events to be staged in.

Well done to all involved.

Carissa, Saar.
