Gulf Weekly REVIEW: Expo Special – Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre

Bahrain’s future is bright and brilliant if the plethora of displays at recent exhibitions showcasing the latest products and services for the construction, property and interiors sectors are anything to go by.

The Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre in Sanabis played host to the Gulf Property Show real estate extravaganza, the Gulf Construction Expo and the Interiors Expo.

According to the delighted organisers, Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE), the 160 exhibitors and approximately 8,000 visitors across the three days marked it as the largest integrated showcase ever to be staged in the Northern Gulf.

Undoubtedly, the best part of these events are the carefully-constructed models detailing Bahrain’s latest developments.

An unfathomable number of hours must have gone into these creations, which include painstakingly planting hundreds of tiny plastic people, cars, boats and palm trees alongside the larger hotels, malls and residential buildings.

There was also a warm atmosphere around the place, with every nook and cranny of the huge exhibition halls filled with businessmen greeting each other, smiling faces giving talks and demonstrations to eager onlookers, and many young couples searching for their first home investment.

Particularly welcoming was the Eagle Hills Diyar stand, where its luxury waterfront development Marassi Al Bahrain was showcased by friendly young assistants with big smiles, who provided plenty of facts and figures about the growing project.

Similarly, Impact Estate was exhibiting its portfolio of investment opportunities both in Bahrain with its Dilmunia Island project and in the UK, with enticing offers for apartments in Manchester and Liverpool, showing that the demand for property investments remains strong.

Some 160 exhibitors presented their products and expertise and, undoubtedly, many provisional deals have been signed and on-going partnerships kindled during the three-day HCE event, with details to be revealed in the near future.
