People flocked to Marassi Beach in Diyar Al Muharraq to splash in the waves and top up their tans … and it wasn’t just the crystal blue ocean that was sparkling as the Chery Tiggo2 was placed on prominent display, attracting envious glances.
The Chery Family Day proved a roaring success with sun, sea, sand and sensational activities for people of all ages, with the ‘Chery on top’ being the Chinese marque’s prize offering.
The Tiggo2 is the company’s latest SUV, boasting a 1.5L VVT engine that delivers a maxi-mum 105BHP and 135Nm of torque.
It comes in two trims; Basic and Comfort, both focusing on safety with front airbags for driver and passenger, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Program ESP), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD) and rear parking sensors.
The Comfort trim also comes with an added rear camera, an audio system with an eight-inch display screen and 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels.
Officials from Motorcity, the Chery dealers in Bahrain, were on hand to greet guests and offer advice on both the Tiggo2 and other models in the portfolio.
