Gulf Weekly Letters

I liked the Bahrain’s Bee Man article written in GulfWeekly by Naman Arora. I found it very interesting and worth reading.

Recently the United Nations had reported a shortfall in bee production and expected a down fall in food production due to the shortage of bees. Bees are a good source of pollination to increase the yield of crops.

GulfWeekly’s news story will surely encourage readers and others to think of developing a bee business and arranging to supply or meet the needs of pure honey making. Honey can benefit consumers in the following ways:

- Healing wounds

- Boosting memory

- A good sleeping aid

- Helps with sinus problems

- Can control eczema

- Provides energy

- Can help with weight loss, controlling a cough and blood sugar

- Is also used as an antiseptic

Sincerely,

R M Arora

Portugal has been ranked as a top tourist destination this year, not only for adventure-seeking travellers and art history admirers, but also for international celebrities, influencers and jet-setters across the globe.

Its incredible array of offerings, from stupendous beaches to medieval castles, make it one of Europe’s gems and with daily flights via Emirates there are not enough reasons to back again and again.

One of the key upcoming events scheduled for October 20 is the Lisbon Marathon. This is perfect for all those running enthusiasts out there and there are plenty of runners in the kingdom that could really enjoy this trip.

The race will start in the city of Cascais and finish in one of Lisbon’s most beautiful plazas – Praça do Comércio, in the city’s downtown, by the Tagus River. It is considered as one of the most beautiful races in the world.  The 26-mile route takes runners along the sea and the Tagus River so athletes can enjoy unique views throughout. The sunny and mild weather in October is another plus for the event.

Tivoli Avenida Liberdade is the perfect place to prepare for this big day and make the most of the city stay. Daily workouts can be done with the state-of-art equipment of The Shape Club – the hotel fitness centre complete with all the essentials to enhance performance. The hotel can also provide a personal trainer on weekdays to help achieve the best results. A map with circuit options to run nearby the hotel, bottles of water and wet wipes are available to runners as well. For those looking for longer running sessions, the trail along the river is a good option as well as the route in Monsanto Natural Park.
