Baloo’s Buddies at RIA Institute in Adliya would like to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who took part in The Big Draw Bahrain last week.
We have been overwhelmed by the support offered to us and the enthusiastic participation of so many people! Whether you painted pottery, drew labyrinths or helped to make and decorate our tactile displays your contribution undoubtedly made our event a great success.
We were delighted to welcome HE Roddy Drummond UK Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain to launch The Big Draw Festival in Bahrain.
We estimate that during The Big Draw Bahrain more than 500 people painted pottery for our pathway, over 25 local and International Artists took part, approximately 700 participated in the activities and 150 or more volunteered in some way - sanding pottery, building stands and plinths, designing posters and logos, decorating displays and more.
We are extremely grateful for the support of The Avenues - Bahrain, Delmon Pottery, Nature’s Market, Cactus, ADLAB, Delmon Boarding Kennels and Cattery, Raising Cane, Asian Paints, The Noohs, Wild About Art Co, Paint & Palette Art Studio, A Touch of Art and Chen Dai without whom we would not have been able to stage such a big event.
We are proud that the organising team of Amanda Clerkin, Mohammed Taha, Irina Darjani and Nadia Algosaibi under the direction of Dr Sarah Clarke brought the Big Draw to Bahrain for the first time during our 20th Anniversary Year, and staged such an inclusive, enabling and inspiring event.
Our 1,000 piece Pottery Pathway to Wellbeing along with 6 beautifully painted plinths and numerous artworks will be on display at Gate 3 - The Bay Gate at The Avenues - Bahrain until November 2.
