A leading retail giant in the region and Asia, known for its value-for-money products, has expanded its reach yet again by opening a new hypermarket in Halat Bu Maher, Muharraq.

The Ramez Group unveiled its seventh hypermarket in the kingdom and 42nd in the region under the patronage of HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy PM of Bahrain. The launch was officially inaugurated by Ramez Al Awadi, chairman of the Group and was attended by ministers, ambassadors, dignitaries, invited guests and members of the media.

Mr Ramez said: “We are grateful to Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for opening our seventh hypermarket in the kingdom which reflects the wise vision of Bahrain’s leadership and the permanent support of the government for the national investments and Bahraini projects in various business fields and vital economic sectors.

“We are committed to train and deploy more young talented Bahrainis in all our branches and outlets and we are keen to continue supporting Bahrain labour force by giving employment to more Bahrainis in the retail sector. We are proud to announce that Ramez’s Halat Bu Maher branch employees are all Bahrainis.”

The hypermarket is located in the heart of Muharraq, sprawling 5,000sqft, consisting of two floors in addition to a 250sqft car parking space that can accommodate more than 220 vehicles.

Ramez offers shoppers a range of home appliances, clothes, cosmetics, stationary, furniture, toys, kitchen kits, food and more.  The new hypermarket also contains a special display area for Bahraini products.
