The Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, has announced its roster of world-class performers as part of the off-track entertainment for the upcoming Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2020.
The Formula 1 Village vending area is set to attract an eclectic mix of artists from across the globe. Teams of talented musicians, including the Funky Style Band from Italy, Papaya Jam from Spain and Aras Stilt Band from Germany, will be setting the vibrant family atmosphere at the circuit and getting crowds moving to their beats.
Funky Style Band is an innovative marching band that maintains a union between sound and movement, but reinterprets it in a unique way. They have eye-catching uniforms and they play and dance with the grit and enthusiasm typical of a respectable street band, but without forgetting the elegance of the Italian funky style.
Launched in 2015 in the city of Girona in Spain, Papaya Jam are a young and talented batucada ensemble from Spain, performing a fusion of rhythm, taste, colour and dance through Brazilian and Latin American sounds. With exhilarating effects, explosive musive, fresh movements and dynamic drum beats, they offer a fresh, artistic and visual spectacle ideal for all types of events.
Aras Stilt Band is a combination of the best groups of percussionists and stilt-walkers in Germany.
Inspired by the colourful macaws from the rain forest, their colourful outstanding costumes with big wings and beautiful music make them one of the most appreciated in Europe. Their trademark is their great joy of playing, which gets the audience grooving to their beats. They have attended lots of festivals in Germany, France, Romania, China and Russia.
