Get ready to say ‘o-llo’ to beloved blue alien Megamind as Peacock’s streaming service is putting him on the telly for all to enjoy.
Everyone loved mischievous Megamind and his super villainous ways that never really went as planned.
The animation came out in 2010 featuring Will Ferrell as the so-called ‘bad guy’, who, after defeating his long-time nemesis Metro Man (Brad Pitt), creates a new hero to fight, only to realise he’s made someone worse than himself.
The comedy also starred Tina Fey and Jonah Hill and over the years, Megamind became a meme-ified sensation on social media.
And, while he happily found his place in the world by the end of it all, as the hero everyone needed him to be, his new role will be put to the test in the Megamind TV series.
The show will follow him as he learns the ropes to becoming Metro City’s new protector with his brainbots recording him every step of the way. The DreamWorks Animation series will premiere sometime early next year and the log line reveals Megamind will be “the world’s first superhero influencer”.
An exact date has yet to be revealed.
