She is truly doing everything everywhere all at once with her next entertaining endeavour called American Born Chinese.
The adaptation of the hit graphic novel of the same name by Gene Luen Yang, which debuts today (May 24) on Disney+, follows a mythological being (played by Yeoh) whose life becomes entangled with an average American teenager (played by Ben Wang).
It all starts when the high schooler, who is struggling with his school and home life, meets Wei-Chen, the new Taiwanese exchange student at school. However, a sequence of events leads him to become involved in the Chinese mythological battle. Also cast in this eight-episode show is Ke Huy Quan and Stephanie Hsu.
