Author Colleen Cambridge has whipped up a delicious murder mystery set in Paris and featuring beloved chef Julia Child’s (fictional) best friend Tabitha Knight.

In Book One of the series Mastering the Art of French Murder: A Charming New Parisian Historical Mystery, Tabitha, a neighbour and friend of Julia’s, has fallen head over heels for the city of lights and is learning how to cook for her Grandpère and Oncle Rafe.
In the meantime, Tabitha tutors Americans in French, visits the market and eagerly samples the results of Julia’s studies at Le Cordon Bleu cooking school. All seems well until a cold December day when the duo return to Julia’s building and learn that a body has been found in the cellar.
Tabitha recognises the victim as a woman she’d met only the night before at a party given by Julia’s sister Dort. The murder weapon found nearby is a knife from Julia’s kitchen.
Tabitha is eager to help with the investigation, but then shockingly learns from Inspector Merveille that a note in her handwriting was found in the dead woman’s pocket. She is in dire need to whisk up the truth before it’s too late.
