The Warrior Nun fans’ prayers of getting the TV show back on air have been answered.

The creator of the cancelled Netflix series, Simon Barry, announced that there will be a Season 3 after all.

It was originally cancelled after the release of its Season 2 in December last year, but the strong fan feedback and combined efforts of the cast and crew resulted in its renewal.

The billboards, hashtag campaigns and Warrior Nun mural also assisted in the cause.

However, it will not be featured on Netflix as the streaming platform still refused to budge on reviving the show.  Instead, Warrior Nun will be continuing elsewhere with news of its new home arriving on August 15.

Simon says that he will still have major involvement in the series.

For the uninitiated, the orphaned Ava Silva develops superpowers and joins a group of warrior nuns. Together, they fight supernatural forces, including angels and demons, as they also work on keeping Ava alive and the order of nuns safe.
