The legendary piano man, Billy Joel, is rocking the music world with his latest release, Turn the Lights Back On.
Described by the website Deadline as a ‘spare, piano based ballad that harkens back to some of his best-loved work’, the single is Billy’s first original song in more than 15 years.
Released by Columbia Records, the song was written by Freddy Wexler, Arthur Bacon, Wayne Hector and Joel.
While the world hasn’t heard much from the six-time Grammy Award-winning star in the past couple of years, he has been gracing fans and performing live in New York’s Madison Square Garden once a month since January 2014. And, he still continues to tour in the US and abroad.
Known for his biggest hits Tell Her About It and We Didn’t Start the Fire, Billy has been nominated for 23 Grammy Awards and has released 12 studio albums that spanned the genres of pop and rock music.
And, he still remains one of the most influential and best-selling artists of all time. He has sold more than 160 million records worldwide, and earned dozens of accolades including induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1992.
