Gulf Weekly F1 fever rages

The Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) has announced a total sell-out of all grandstand tickets for the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2024, which is set to take place in Sakhir from February 29 to March 2.

This includes its Main, Beyon and Turn 1 grandstands. Earlier this week, an additional 500 seats in the Victory Grandstand were released to meet the overwhelming demand owing to the race’s popularity, and those tickets have also been completely sold out, the BIC said yesterday.

However, fans can still take advantage of two of BIC’s specially curated hospitality options, The Dome by F1 Experiences and The Champions Club, both of which offer exclusive experiences in an unmatched setting. Tickets can be purchased via the BIC website or hotline, or by visiting the BIC stand at City Centre Bahrain or the BIC Fan Village at Block 338 in Adliya.

With less than two weeks remaining for the highly anticipated racing and entertainment spectacle, the excitement can already be felt across the kingdom, where the season will kick-start.

This year’s race marks Bahrain’s 20th anniversary in F1 and will be its first-ever Saturday night race.

BIC, dubbed as ‘the home of motorsport in the Middle East’, has exciting plans for the F1 weekend, which include a campaign commemorating ‘20 Years of a Modern Classic’, three days of non-stop racing, and loads of family fun and entertainment.

In addition to the main race, BIC will also host the FIA Formula 2 Championship, the FIA Formula 3 Championship, as well as the fifth and penultimate round of the 2023/2024 Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East.

Prior to race week, BIC is hosting three days of F1 Aramco Pre-Season Testing 2024 starting today, with public access available tomorrow and Friday.

Entry is free for all those who had purchased their F1 tickets prior to February 1, but tickets are also available at BD5 per day on BIC’s website.
