A CONFLUENCE of various dance forms from around the world will take centre stage at a cultural event organised by an expat group in Bahrain.
Borders and Beyond, organised by Indian Fine Arts Society, will feature diverse styles including Indian kathak and Manipuri, the Spanish flamenco and traditional Korean dances. The audience will witness the magic unravel on stage as international talents perform throughout the evening.
The lineup features renowned kathak and lavani (dance form) expert Aditi Bhagwat and classical Manipuri dancer and choreographer Latasana Devi from India, the fascinating flamenco figure Bettina Castaño who is known to experiment with international music elements and integrate them into her performances, and popular Korean artist Yi (Lee) Chul-jin who will bring alive her meditative moves through ‘monk dance’ as it’s commonly known or Seungmu.
The event will happen today (April 25) from 7.30pm at the Cultural Hall. Doors open at 6.45pm.
