Middle-grade novel Not Another Banned Book by Dana Alison Levy is set to hit the shelves on September 10.
To cope with the death of her brother, Molly finds solace in her teacher Ms Lewsiton’s book club at school, however, an anonymous complaint about the club causes it to be suspended indefinitely. The books are removed and Ms Lewsiton is asked to go on leave.
Molly and her friends attempt to bring the club back and the book depicts the truths she discovers in the process.
Author Dana is passionate about writing books for teenagers and younger kids. She generally believes writing has always been a big part of her day-to-day life.
“Writing is what I do now, and in some ways what I’ve always done. Stories, journals, professional writing; it has always been a vital part of my life. My stories are for children and young adults, as well as for people like me who, no matter what their age, are still looking for their next experience,” she said on her website.
