The Bahrain Cinema Club is showing Fernando Meirelles’s classic film City of God, on September 20.
The award-winning film starring Alexandre Rodrigues, takes place in slums constructed by Rio to isolate the poor people from the city centre. It covers almost a couple of decades in the interwoven lives of a group of children from the same slum neighbourhood called City of God.
