Germaine’s a germ
Dear Ed,
Germaine Greer’s ‘tribute’ to Steve Irwin is one of the most malicious pieces of writing I’ve ever read.
She obviously has not bothered to consider the number of ‘yelling youngsters’ Mr Irwin has educated, and the number of conservation projects initiated by the man and his various funds. Ms Greer is one of the feminists who believes that a day without a cynical complaint is a day wasted.

Dear Sally,
Have you been stingray mauling lately? Ms Greer happens to be a writer of enormous merit and we tend to take her point of view rather seriously. Not everyone has to love everyone, if we did then you wouldn’t be writing this letter and getting your rant out in the public now would you?
Hurrah for video games
Dear Ed,
I am a huge fan of Rockstar games, especially the Grand Theft Auto series. I think people trying to ban the company’s new game are ridiculous and should get lives. Don’t they know that video games improve hand-eye co-ordination.

Dear San…whatever,
Good point, we’d better nip them in the bud. After all if we don’t they might soon start banning pornography and graphic violence…the horror.
Net humour is sick
Dear Ed,
Yesterday my son walked into the house spouting off jokes about Steve Irwin’s death. These he had read off some site on the Net, how crass can people be, making fun of someone’s demise. I mean I didn’t even find them funny…for example: How many croc hunters does it take to capture a stingray? Apparently more than one. That’s just sick.
Not Amused,
