Finally a man who’s willing to lay it all on the line for the sake of comedy. Sacha Baron Cohen’s (better known as Ali G) alter ego Borat has shoved political correctness where it belongs, and trust me the sun don’t shine much over there.
Borat whose latest film Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan, was a huge hit at Cannes, hoped to invite both George W Bush and Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the US premiere of the film. Borat the Fearless (as he shall now be monikered) tried to get into the White House last weekend — where Bush was having a meeting with Nazarbayev — to hand out invitations to the lunching duo. According to the Guardian, the invitation read: “Seats is provide. There will be secure enclosure for storage of vehicles and wives.”
Borat, an ambassador every country needs, claimed that Kazakhstan is pushing hard to modernise: “Women can now travel on inside of bus, homosexuals no longer have to wear blue hats, and age of consent has been raised to eight years old.”
Ah! If all Press releases were as enlightening, it would be a joy dealing with those PR things.
