Happy Snapper
A reader kindly sent me this photograph which may raise a smile with the readers of this column. I’m told the hamour is in fact very good and you shouldn’t be put off by an innocent mispronunciation.

Wonder woman
One of Bahrain’s most sophisticated journalists dived fully-clothed into a compound swimming pool to rescue a drowning two-year-old. The unsung heroine had got all dressed up for a night out with her hubby but didn’t think twice about ruining her outfit, make-up and hair-do. Mind you, standing soaked to the skin she did get some strange looks from late-comers to the party!
