A show celebrating the culture and fashion of the Philippines was held to mark the country’s Independence day.
The Filipino Club’s Circle of Filipino Fashion Designers in Bahrain organised the event at The Palace, Adliya. Ambassador Eduardo Maglaya was the chief guest. The show, Kalayaan, Kasuotan at Kalinangan (Independence, Fashion and Culture) featured the creations of 15 Filipino fashion designers. More than 30 Philippine-inspired gowns and attire created by designers and modelled by 17 models were presented against the backdrop of traditional dances and music.
