Tickled Pink!

Two lucky Pink fans are set to head off to Dubai next week to see the pop star perform live for the first time in the Middle East.

As part of the Hard Rock International worldwide ‘Ambassadors of Rock Tour’, the performer who is known for her wild style and edgy lyrics, will perform at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre next Wednesday in front of a 10,000-capacity crowd.
A competition offering tickets and merchandice was held at the Hard Rock Café, Hoora, where diners were invited take part in a scratch and win card promotion.  The top prize of concert tickets, a two-night stay at the Shangri-La Hotel, entry to the VIP tent and $250 spending money was won by Khalil Ebrahim Abdul Kareem, 57, a cargo clearance officer, from Muharraq.
He said: “I went on Thursday for dinner and I filled out the card but I didn’t expect to win. I was so happy when I heard that I had. I immediately called my friend, who works with me and asked him to come with me. I’m a big music fan and I am really looking forward to the concert. I also have family in Dubai so I will have a chance to see them too.”
Khalil is taking Ismaeel Mohammed, a supervisor, with him to the show and they are seen above receiving their prize tickets from manager Brigida Babaran at the venue. Three more lucky fans won dinner-for-two at the Hard Rock Café as well as merchandise. “Lots of people participated,” said its Manama managing director Halad Al Ahmed, “and the winners were all very happy.”
“Pink has become one of the world’s most exciting and energetic artists,” added Hamish Dodds, president and CEO, Hard Rock International. “And we were thrilled to add her to our line-up with this exclusive Middle East performance.”
