AS the ICC World Twenty20 Cup gripped everyone, staff at Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain put their talents to the test and struck lucky at the Ramadan Cricket Tournament organised by the Pakistan Club.
Möevenpick won the inaugural seven-a-side cricket tournament by 44 runs against Bahrain Yatch Club. Having won the toss, they decided to bat first in the six over match and hit an unbeatable 79 runs.
Trio shine in Awali
THE trio of Graham Hurdon, Andrew Nelson and Claus Hansen clinched first prize with net 53.60 in a friendly match at Awali Golf Club which included members of the temporarily closed Riffa Golf Club.
The team of Matthew Chalmers and husband and wife Steve and Olive Wagstaff came second with net 59.00 on count back while Graham Tole, Barry Hobday and Robert Craquelin were a very close third, also on net 59.00.
