Hyundai's Veracruz has won the 2008 AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Award (VSA).
The popular vehicle was honoured in the large crossover sport utility vehicle category at the awards which are based on owner survey results and are viewed as a benchmark for objectively measuring owner satisfaction.
Scott Margason, national manager of product development Hyundai Motor America, said: "We are pleased and honoured to have been recognised with such an influential industry award.
"The Veracruz is an exceptionally well-equipped vehicle boasting the latest safety technologies like electronic stability control, convenience features such as a proximity key and a quiet, comfortable ride.
"The Veracruz is a prime example of Hyundai's commitment to achieving maximum customer satisfaction."
AutoPacific's VSAs are driven by data collected from more than 34,000 buyers and lessees of new vehicles between September and December last year.
Those questioned rate 46 attributes related to a vehicle's operations, comfort, safety and overall purchase experience.
