Gulf Weekly PLAY WITH A STAR!

IF you would like to enjoy a round of golf with an international sporting celebrity while also doing your bit to support the growth of junior golf in Bahrain, bid today in GulfWeekly's exclusive Riffa Views Trophy auction.

The new 18-hole championship-standard golf course at the Royal Golf Club, Riffa Views has been designed by Scottish golfing legend Colin Montgomerie, who will be in Bahrain to perform the official opening ceremony of the course next Thursday.

To celebrate the occasion, Riffa Views has organised a three-day series of star-studded events which will include an invitational tournament on Friday, November 14, on the Royal Golf Club's new 9-hole Academy course, also designed by Montgomerie.

Successful bidders will be entitled to attend all of the following events, starting from 11am:

Watch a golf demonstration conducted by one of the golfing stars;

Watch a golf trick shot show by world champion Geoff Swain and his associate Kevin Carpenter;

Enjoy lunch at the new Royal Golf Academy;

Play in the 9-hole Riffa Views Trophy, playing with your chosen celebrity.

Even if your star bid is unsuccessful all readers who enter will have their name placed into a special draw. One name will be pulled out and invited to play in the Riffa Views Trophy tournament with the Royal Golf Club's very own professional, Colin Ferguson.

To enter your bid, please send your email entry to secretary@gulfweekly.com - please clearly state the name of the celebrity you are bidding to play with, the amount of your bid and your full name and contact number. The minimum auction bid is just BD200. The top bid for each player received by noon on Sunday, November 9, will win. Normal GulfWeekly competition rules apply and the editor's decision is final.

The results of the auction will be announced in next week's issue of GulfWeekly. Successful bidders will be contacted in person by a representative from the Royal Golf Club.

All money raised from this auction will be used to further promote golf amongst youngsters in Bahrain, the Royal Golf Club said.
