A crowd of over 35,000 attended the third Gulf Air Desert 400 at the home of motorsport in the Middle East this weekend, making it the most successful V8 race at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) yet.

The turnout at the popular round of the Australian V8 Supercar Championship Series, which is as the second biggest international sporting event at the BIC, was more than the 33,000 fans at last year's race weekend.

Aside from the races, visitors got a chance to meet the legendary giant kangaroos, clowns-on-stilts, see the ever-popular and amazing stunt bikers, have fun in the children's play area and try their hand at racing on the Kart Zone. With music, entertainment and plenty of games and activities on the agenda, fans and visitors spent an exciting day at BIC as Jamie Whincup was crowned winner of this year's event.
