Expert gives tips to beat recession

THE time is right to grow brands and secure success, says a top management expert.

"History shows many brands and companies have been successfully launched during recessions, while others have leveraged tough economic conditions to gain significant market advantage," says Memac Ogilvy and Mather Bahrain managing director, Ghassan Boujacli.

The firm has published a booklet entitled Optimising the Marketing Budget in Recession. It offers practical advice about the consequences of cutting, maintaining or increasing marketing expenditure, drawing on Ogilvy's understanding of winning during recession and the latest research into best practice.
