One of Bahrain's leading Islamic banking corporations, Al Baraka Banking Group, announced the appointment of Intermarkets, Bahrain as its communications consultant.

The appointment comes as Al Baraka progresses towards implementing its new 'Unified Corporate Identity' across its subsidiaries in 12 countries and more than 280 branches regionally and internationally.

At the signing ceremony for the deal, Adnan Ahmed Yousif, president and CEO of Al Baraka Banking Group, said: "The aim is to develop an identity that portrays Al Baraka as a forward moving entity with strong Islamic beliefs in parallel to being a unified strong entity in Islamic banking. The new identity will be the start of a complete transformation in the way Al Baraka will operate locally, regionally and internationally while proudly reflecting its wealth of achievements and experience from the past three decades.

"The selection of Intermarkets was not a difficult decision for us as we had seen their work, especially in the field of banking and finance and their rich experience in managing the implementation of identity transformation."
