Footwear giant ECCO has been officially launched at Bahrain City Centre by the Al Rashid Group (ARG).
The brand, which prides itself on luxury and glamour coupled with great comfort, celebrated launching its new store showcasing its latest collection.
Thursday's event featured a ribbon cutting ceremony in the presence of chief guests ARG chairman Shaikha Hind bint Salman Al Khalifa and ARG directors Shaikh Hassan bin Rashid Al Khalifa and Shaikh Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
Mohammed Rizwan, retail operations manager, said: "There have been both positive and negative signs in business this year but we are reaching our target.
"People who know about the brand are loyal and those who don't will come back once they buy them."
ECCO aims to develop innovative designs and products-without having to compromise on the quality and comfort concepts that have been at the heart of every ECCO product since 1963.
The new spring/summer 2009 collection includes high-quality shoes for women and business shoes for men, as well as weekend and sports footwear featuring a combination of exquisite design and fashion with practical casual trends inspired by the urban life.
ECCO women's collection is inspired by the 50s, 60s and 80s with a highlight on glamour.
For men, this spring and summer is all about moving convenience. Gadgets make travel easier - and the clothes match in simple designs with two-tone prints and details in luxurious fabrics.
Mr Rizwan added: "For the future we are planning to open a kids' shoe store as we feel Bahrain has good market potential.
"We are planning this expansion for 2010."
