Parents looking to sending their children abroad for schooling will be able to tap into a huge pool of information offered by education specialists from the UK as they will visit Bahrain again this week, writes Asma Salman.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Sue Anderson and Sara Sparling of Sue Anderson Consultants, pictured right, are visiting Bahrain to provide information and offer free advice to families living on the island about UK boarding schools, summer and language programmes.

Sue Anderson, who has more than 25 years experience in working with overseas families and international students, said: "We have met families who have moved to Bahrain and have been unable to secure a place in a British curriculum school as the most popular schools have waiting lists. These families have no other option but to home tutor or consider a UK boarding school.

"Sixth form is also a popular option as it is a good preparation for the independence of university life.

"We also get enquiries from families whose children require specialist support as children with learning difficulties are not always given the breadth or depth of support required."

Visit Sue and Sara for advice at the Dilmun Club on Friday between 1pm and 6pm and Bahrain Rugby Football Club on Saturday, between 1pm and 6pm.
