ICAP Two were crowned overall champions in the two-day Shaikh Fasial bin Hamad Al Khalifa Memorial Trophy, in aid of Bahrain Mobility International (BMI), at His Majesty King Hamad's private golf course at Safriya Palace.

The victors, who comprised Ebrahim Esbai, Riyad Al Saie, Haitham Haji and Ahmed Sultan, won on countback with a score of 93 points. The triumphant quartet were one of 18 teams to tee off on the final day.

Finishing second were overnight leaders Atkins, also on 93 points. They comprised Alan Blackman, Jim Carless, Bob Hope and Mark Fisher. Third place was claimed by The Royal Golf Club, represented by Phil White, Rob Jones, Maurice Burke and Kyran Ingham. Like Atkins, they had also played on day one when they carded a score of 92 points.

Meanwhile, the winners of side contests included David Wales for coming nearest the pin; Dan Owen for hitting the longest drive, and Sultan, of ICAP, for registering the straightest drive. All the winners were presented prizes at the awarding ceremony by BMI president Munira bin Hindi and other officials.

The tournament committee thanked His Majesty for the use of his private golf course, all the sponsors and organisations who provided financial donations, Bahrain Airport Services for the catering, and to Adel Sultan and Dreena Rogers for their continued efforts in raising support for BMI.
