The Easter break saw many depart the island for holidays, so it's been fairly quiet over the last couple of weeks. However, all that changes from this weekend.
There are two Breef show jumping events planned over the next two Fridays at the Public Security Ground in Budaiya, with both one-day events featuring eight classes.
Breef will close its show jumping season with a two-day event over the weekend of May 7-8. Good Luck to all the competitors.
Looking for a horse to travel? Would anyone be interested, or know of anyone who may be interested in moving their horse from Bahrain to Europe, Belgium to be precise, in the next few weeks?
Two ladies here are looking for a third person (well horse!) to fill the last place on a three-horse palette; this is an excellent opportunity for someone, as with three horses it becomes very cost effective.

The newly-formed Bahrain Horse Society held its first public meeting and press conference last week at A A'ali Arabian Stud.

One of the society's aims is to bring together equestrian enthusiasts so they can all have one voice, the meeting was told. Bahrainis love horses and this community of equestrians is probably bigger than any other in the region.
The society's first activity will be a nationwide survey of stables to register the horses, unravel issues and owner problems. The survey is crucial for reaching the long-term goals of the BHS, as it will help to pinpoint important issues concerning their work. The non-profit making society has already met government bodies to initiate building these foundations.
The survey will be distributed for approximately two months before the information is collated and disseminated.
