The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam Photography Club will host a photo contest under a theme entitled 'Deep Love' in January. Contest is open for all residents of Bahrain. Winners will be awarded cash prizes worth $100 to $500. Participants must send their entries to the BKS Photography club by January 10 via email at BKSPGAward@gmail.com
Entry to the competition is subject to the payment of entry fee BD3 for the first image and BD1 per subsequent images submitted.

The Bahraini French Business Club (CAFB) and the French Embassy of Bahrain will organise the French Week 2011 from February 23 to March 1.
Held under the patronage of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the Bahraini Royal Equestrian and Races capacity team leader, Royal Chairman of the Board of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, this year's event is themed 'Bahrain Je t'aime' which means 'I love Bahrain' and will feature a series of activities focussed on culture, entertainment, fashion, sports, retail and food held at various locations across the island.
The retail industry showcasing French products will offer special offers and promotions in line with the festivities. Leading supermarket Carrefour will host a special promotion offering customers the chance to win a Peugeot car. Exclusive houses from leading malls such as the Bahrain City Centre, Moda Mall and A'ali Shopping Complex will also participate during the week and designers from the world's most prestigious fashion capital will be invited to display their work.
Sports will take central stage during this year with several activities planned including road runners, tennis, golf, football, petanque (bowls game) as well as a mini 'Tour de France' cycling event. Well-known musicians, performers, authors and French folklore artists will be present.
Restaurants will offer authentic French cuisine and renowned and Michelin star chefs from France will also be invited to participate during the week.
In order to build a bridge of trade ties between Bahraini and French, the week will also host a delegation of French businessmen as well as members of the Franco-Arab Chamber of Commerce, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, the Bahrain France Business Club and the French Embassy for a three-day B-2-B workshop from February 27.
