Jake Core secured victory in Category 1 of the Euro Motors BMW Monthly Medal series at the Royal Golf Club with a superb 71 nett, pipping Ray Bruhn by one shot.
In Category 2, popular South African Dawie Van Der Berg came out on top with an impressive nett 72, while Peter Thompson secured the runner-up position with a respectable nett 74.
Meanwhile, in Category 3 Eui Mo Koo emerged victorious with another excellent 71 nett.
The top lady on the day was former lady captain Dena Wales with 75 nett in Category 3 and she also advances to the Grand Final.
This popular event culminates in a Grand Final to be staged in December, with the overall winners going on to represent the kingdom in the BMW World Final in South Africa early in 2013.
In the side contests there were multiple winners. The 2’s contest was won by Jake Core (7th), Marius Estherhuizen (12th), Abdulla Al Hakam (2nd), Peter O’Brien (2nd and 7th) and Murtaz Zamanly (7th).
Another former lady captain, Debbie Lane, won the Mystery Hole competition with four shots on the 8th hole.
