AN annual golf tournament held recently at the Royal Golf Club in remembrance of all the people who died in the Al Dana dhow tragedy has raised over BD 100.

The money will be used by the Christian Community Cemetery Committee (CCCC) to support the upkeep of a memorial headstone in the old Christian Cemetery in Manama.

The money was raised by donations from the competition’s participants who included The Royalists Golf Society and former club captain Ed Daly.

The 2013 Al Dana Memorial Trophy was won by club member Dave Garbutt with 36 points, narrowly beating Martyn Wright into second place on countback after he also amassed 36 points.
