Series – The Carrie Diaries at 6pm on OSN
First More Before Carrie Bradshaw was a fashion icon, had a column in the New York Star and met Mr Big, she was an innocent 16-year-old girl living in suburban Connecticut. The year is 1984, and Carrie’s mother has just passed away over the summer, which means she has to grow up fast. Her younger sister Dorrit is more rebellious than ever and their father Tom is overwhelmed with the responsibility of suddenly having to care for two teenage girls on his own.

Film – Blades of Glory at 6.30pm on MBC 2 HD
When rivalry between the world’s best men’s figure skaters – improvisational Chazz Michael Michaels and germophobic, precise Jimmy MacElroy – breaks into a fight on the awards platform, they’re banned from the event for life. Three years later, desire for a gold medal and a careful reading of the rules lead them to compete as skating’s first male-male pair. Can they overcome mutual dislike and the dirty tricks of their main opponents?

Iraq war veteran, Walter Sherman, suffered brain damage in an explosion. However, the brain damage triggers an ability in Walter to find things. He starts to see connections between seemingly unrelated events, objects or people that other investigators would miss. Walter is assisted by his legal advisor Leo Knox, cop Isabel Zambada, and teen parolee and thief Willa Monday, who is serving her probation with the team.

Lifestyle – Come Dine With Me at 8.20pm on BBC Lifestyle
Five strangers battle it out in the kitchen for the title of the ultimate dinner party host by preparing a feast to remember. Each night, one contestant makes dinner for the other four and, at the end of the evening, the guests must award the chef marks out of ten. The host with the most points at the end of the week wins £1,000. Each amateur chef believes they can cook up the perfect evening and hopes their distinctive style will clinch them the title and the prize. Comedian Dave Lamb provides a dry and ‘bitingly sarcastic’ narration.

Film – Little Women at 7.50pm on Turner Classic Movies
Four young girls are raised by their mother after their father leaves for battle during the Civil War. At the centre is Jo, a would-be writer, conventional Meg, innocent Beth and  precocious Amy. The girls struggle with life’s challenges but manage to keep their family connection strong in the face of tragedies large and small. Moments of high comedy are counterpointed with grim tragedy and romantic interludes.

Series – Pretty Little Liars at 6pm on MBC 4
A clique of girls falls apart after the disappearance of their queen bee, Alison DiLaurentis. One year later, they begin receiving messages from a mysterious figure using the name A, who threatens to expose all their secrets. At first, they think it’s Alison but after her body is found the girls realise that someone else knows their secrets, including long-hidden ones they thought only Alison knew. The girls must band together against the anonymous foe whilst trying to unravel the mystery of the murder of their best friend.
