THE GulfWeekly-sponsored Arsenal Soccer School Bahrain Ladies League produced three high-scoring encounters.
Joga TFA took an early lead against Junior Gunners with a goal from debutant Asmah Al Kabbi and when the Junior’s failed to convert a penalty the writing was on the wall.
Joga’s hat-trick hero Sara Jalal put the game out of reach with further second half contributions coming from Rawan Abduallah and Eman Ebrahim. Kia Hanahoe scored a second consolation leaving the final score 6-2.
A Huda Busheri hat-trick in the second half saw Venus secure a satisfying 5-1victory over Arsenal Reds. But the Arsenal Yellows versus London Arsenal game proved to be a much closer affair.
Nicole Moir scored two first half goals and Darya Vysehgorodskaya added a further goal making the score at half time 3-0 to the London Arsenal team.
Millie Gallagher led a fight-back for the Yellows in the second half, lifting her team’s spirits with two excellent finishes.
Tamara Kawash also played a valuable part in the rejuvenated second half showing as she became one of four players to score a brace, the others coming from Nada Alsaeed and Lamees Saqeed.
Finally, London Arsenal secured a hard-earned victory with a goal in the 30th minute as Vysehgorodskaya notched her second of the night making the final score-line, 6-4.
This week the sides will be taking time off their league endeavours to concentrate on the finals of the cup and plate contests.
